The first phone with Helio G100 chip
The first smartphone in the world to use MediaTek’s new Helio G100 chip is the TECNO CAMON 30S Pro. Still, not much information regarding the new technology has been made public. All we know is that its CPU performance has increased by 7% over its predecessor (likely the Helio G99), and it is built on a 6nm manufacturing technology.
The gadget has an IP53 grade for dust and water splash resistance in addition to a stylish back cover with a round camera hump and a red dot on the right side.
Its 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD screen features a 120Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole for its 50MP autofocus selfie camera, and other features up front. The Aqua touch technology on the display keeps it responsive even when your fingertips are wet.
In addition, the device features 256GB of internal storage, 8GB of RAM (16GB of expanded RAM), a 5,000mAh battery, and USB-C 45W fast wired and 20W wireless charging capabilities.
This gadget also features a magnetic cover akin to Apple’s MagSafe system.
Its 50MP Sony IMX896 camera, which has a 1/1.56-inch dimension and 1μm Ultra-Large Single Pixel dimension, is used at the rear. OIS is also included for stabilisation. A 2 MP depth sensor is combined with the main camera.
Additionally, it offers three charging modes: Low Temperature Charge, Smart Charge, and Hyper Charge.
The device’s twin SIM slots, Bluetooth, FM radio, NFC, GPS, GNSS, stereo speakers, IR Blaster, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE (4.5G CA 2.0 chip), and side-mounted fingerprint reader round out the specifications.
It comes pre-installed with the HiOS 14 skin on top of the Android 14 OS.
The device’s dimensions are 7.75 x 74.64 x 164.64 mm.
