With the introduction of the Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G into the Indian smartphone market on Friday, Oppo extended its Reno line. In order to increase productivity, Google’s Gemini Ultra, which includes AI Writer, AI Summary, and AI Speak, is included in the Reno 12 series.

AI capabilities including AI Eraser 2.0, AI Clear Face, AI Best Face, and Smart Image Matting 2.0 are also available on the Reno 12 5G series camera.

The 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screens on the Reno 12 Pro 5G and Reno 12 5G have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. With a resolution of 1.07 billion colours, their 10-bit panels are used.

For screen protection, the Reno 12 Pro 5G uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the Reno 12 5G has Gorilla Glass 7i. Both phones have an IP65 rating.

Within the package, both the Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G come with a 5,000mAh battery and an 80W charger.

For the first time, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy processor is used by both Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. The Reno 12 comes in a single configuration of 8GB/256GB, whereas the Reno 12 Pro boasts up to 12GB RAM LPDDR4x and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Based on Android 14, both phones are powered by ColorOS 14.1. Three years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches are what Oppo has promised.

The Reno 12 Pro 5G boasts an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP primary camera. It also includes a 50MP camera for selfies.

The primary 50MP Sony Lyt-600 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro are all used by the Reno 12 5G. Its front camera is 32 megapixels.

There will be two versions of the Reno 12 Pro 5G available: the 12GB/256GB model will cost ₹36,999, and the 12GB/512GB version will cost ₹40,999.

The Reno 12 5G will retail for ₹32,999 and have 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.

The Oppo e-Store, Flipkart, and other traditional retail stores will begin selling the Reno 12 Pro 5G on July 18 and the Reno 12 5G on July 25.
