The show takes place in a world where hunters, or human warriors, possess supernatural powers. To save humanity from certain extinction, they must battle monsters.

The voice of Song Chiyul, a Korean C-Rank Hunter who is an elderly gentleman who takes Sung Jinwoo under his wing, was provided by Bollywood actor Ali Fazal.
Ali Fazal explained in a statement, “Joining the cast of Solo Leveling and lending my voice to one of its gritty characters is a unique and exciting opportunity. I always strive to do something new with each of my projects, and this opportunity is definitely among them. The character of Song Chiyul is truly remarkable, and I am honoured to be a part of this amazing and exciting project. Working with Crunchyroll and being a part of the anime world is a fresh and thrilling experience for me. I had a great time being the voice behind this character in Hindi”.
‘Solo Leveling’s’ official synopsis explained, “They say whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but that’s not the case for the world’s weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo. After being brutally slaughtered by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Jinwoo came back with the System, a program only he could see, that’s leveling him up in every way. Now, he’s inspired to discover the secrets behind his powers and the dungeon that spawned them.”
“Solo Levelling,” helmed by Shunsuke Nakashige, is a film based on Chugong’s well-known South Korean web novel of the same name.
