In his film Merry Christmas, Anurag Kashyap praises Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Hitchcockian love story’; he praises Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi as well

Merry Christmas, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, was lauded by director Sriram Raghavan and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Anurag posted a series of posters for the Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif film Merry Christmas on Instagram on Sunday. He wrote a note, too.

Anurag shared the posters on social media and stated, “I love this movie. @sriram.raghavanofficial never plays it safe and they’ve pulled off a Hitchcockian romance this time around involving two actors from different backgrounds who meet on Christmas Eve. Once more, he experiments and produces a slow burn with an amazing payoff.”

Merry Christmas, the mystery thriller, opened to a slow start at the box office. The movie took in ₹2.45 crore on Friday, ₹3.45 crore on Saturday, and around ₹3.75 crore on Sunday in India. In India, the movie has made ₹9.65 crore net so far. Reviews for the movie were divided amongst reviewers and fans.

With two different supporting casts, it was filmed in two languages. Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand are also featured in the Hindi version. In the Tamil version, Rajesh Williams, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Radhika Sarathkumar play the same parts.
