The Creta EV, Maruti e Vitara, and Harrier EV are among the new mid-size electric SUVs that will soon be introduced in the Indian market.

1. New-Gen Honda Amaze

On December 4, Honda Cars India will introduce the new-generation Amaze to the Indian market. The sedan is already fully visible in the most recent spy photos. A modified version of the chassis that supports the City and Elevate SUV will serve as its foundation. Along with improved alloy wheels and a redesigned rear profile, the new Amaze boasts a completely new front fascia. The package includes a redesigned dashboard arrangement inside the interior that was influenced by the Elevate SUV. The new Amaze will continue to use the current 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine, which produces 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of peak torque.

2. Kia Syros

In the brand’s lineup, the Syros will be placed above the Sonet and is set for an official introduction on December 19. According to Kia’s most recent teaser, the upcoming small SUV will have a panoramic sunroof. It will include flush-fitting door handles, a broad window line, vertically stacked LED DRLs up front, and an upright stance with a boxy design language. The next Kia Syros will have a front-wheel-drive system with both an internal combustion engine and an electric drivetrain. A 360-degree parking camera, ventilated seats, and ADAS are anticipated features.

3. Hyundai Creta EV

At the 2025 Auto Expo early next year, Hyundai plans to introduce the Creta EV to the Indian market. A 45 kWh battery pack with a power output rating of 138 horsepower and 255 Nm of peak torque will be included with the electric Creta. It will share a front-wheel drive system with the most recent Kona EV model offered in foreign countries. The electric Creta, which has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times, will have the same design as the most recent facelift model, but it will include EV-specific features like an aero-efficient alloy wheel, a blanked-off front grille, and EV badging inside out.

4. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

The Suzuki e Vitara will be formally introduced in India at the 2025 Auto Expo after making its world debut not long ago. The nation’s first Maruti Suzuki electric vehicle will be produced at Suzuki’s plant in Gujarat. The EV will have a wheelbase of 2,700 mm and a length of 4,275 mm. The e Vitara, which is internally codenamed YY8, is built on the Heartect-e (codename: 40PL), a brand-new electric skateboard platform. With a power output of up to 184 horsepower and 300 Nm of peak torque for the AWD model, two battery packs—a 49kWh and a 61kWh unit—will be available.

5. Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors plans to introduce another electric SUV to its lineup following the release of the Curvv EV. The Harrier’s electric variant has been in development for a while, and the finished aircraft will go into production early in the upcoming year. The substantially upgraded electric-specific version of the present OMEGA-Arc platform will serve as the foundation for the Harrier EV. It is anticipated that the SUV will have a 60 kWh battery pack with a stated range of about 500 km. Although it will have various internal electric-specific components, the design will be fairly similar to the current Harrier. Additionally, a dual-motor AWD arrangement will be available as an option.
